Dongbei Ren.

its still winter and thats still a good excuse to put some meat on your bones with hearty dongbei fare. This restaurant is on the corner of Xindong Lu and Dongzhimenwai, a stones throw away from Sanlitun.

See the link for google map and dianping review.

JZM #133 无敌家(霄云路店)

Today’s JZM comes courtesy of dianping.com.  I am helping Yan choose a restaurant today as she has been traveling for CNY and only just arrived back.  I chose this restaurant as i like the location and there are plenty of other good places to eat if for some reason they are packed or still closed due to 春节。 Some places are closed until the 2nd but i’m pretty sure it’s okay.

I’ll be on my way to Harbin tonight so i wish you all good food and warmth.  Wish me luck with my thermals.  ;)

Very interesting article for my JZM friends

Hi all!

It’s been a long time since I posted and I really miss you all!  I hope JZM is going well and continuing to make a name for itself in the Beijing restaurant scene.

I came across this article, which is a must-read for all of you who haven’t seen it yet.  It’s about how challenging it can be for expats to make anything meaningful of their time in China.  Take a look here: http://dontmovetochina.com/post/14263906182/its-not-your-party-so-you-want-to-work-in-china#.TxDyLQ-Dzkk.facebook

Best,

Alex
