JZM #59: 5 April 2010 – Jin Bao Xuan

This holiday JZM leads us to Jin Bao Xuan, a nice-looking place on Jinbao Jie.  I’ve never read a review and don’t know anyone who’s ever been there.  I found it while out on a bike ride last weekend and thought it looked perfect for a Jiao Zi Monday adventure.

The restaurant (photos and map below) is located at dong cheng qu da ya bao san hao – (basically the extension of jin bao jie).

See you at 7:30.  Invite friends if they want to try somewhere more exotic than Sanlitun Village!

JZM #56: 15 March 2010 – 古城人家食府 Gu Cheng Ren Jia Shi Fu

Spring is almost here and it’s time to get JZM rolling again, Alex-style.

This gem of a place in the perfect spot for Jiao Zi Monday and has been vetted by Laura.  It’s vegetarian-friendly, super-tasty and situated on a rambunctious hutong in the middle of Beijing – the perfect ingredients for a memorable JZM.

Old schoolers among you will recognize that Shatan Hou Jie is the location of “Seafood Dumplings – Would You Like to Try?” an epic choice by Jeff that’s in the running for cheapest JZM ever!

This restaurant is on the east side of Shatan Hou Jie is near Shatan Beijie.

Address: Shatan Hou Jie #7

JZM #9: 5 Jan 2009 – Baoyue Chupin

Address: Bao Yue Chu Pin 19 Tang Gong Hutong (on south side of Luce), Jiu Gulou Dajie, Dongcheng district

Phone: 6404 0722

The first JZM of 2009 saw some new joiners to our crew as we ventured to new places. I was a bit surprised that this Beijing restaurant didn’t have any jiao zi on the menu…
