Hey guys,
Chinese KongFu bash tomorrow night — good food & fellowship. At Fengbozhuang, food culture meets martial arts traditions. Come here for an out-of-the-ordinary dining experience, or bring overseas Laowai visitors who are up for an authentic Chinese meal – provided they can tolerate a certain noise level!
An Interview you might want to read about WHY here
A: There are many other fascinating theme restaurants in Beijing that promote their exceptional dining environments. Fengbozhuang, for example, is a theme restaurant featuring traditional Chinese martial arts. It’s hugely popular with Chinese kongfu fans.
B: It’s decorated like the old restaurants often seen in kongfu movies, and the wait staff is all dressed in ancient costumes. What’s more interesting is that everything in the restaurant has a popular name from a kongfu novel or film.
A: Each table here is named for a well-known kongfu school, such as Shaolin, Wudang, or Emei. Customers are called swordsmen, and each dish is named for a famous kongfu skill. The dish names themselves are a big attraction for new customers curious to see what the dish is made of.
B: It’s no surprise that kongfu fans make up the majority of the restaurant’s clientele.
